Versatile trail machine
Really step it up on technical trails with more confidence and control. With updated suspension and adjustable geometry, this spirited 29er adapts to the terrain.
Highlights of the Giant TRANCE 1 – 29″ mountain bike
- 29er Confidence and Control – 29-inch wheels are optimal for rolling over technical terrain with balance and stability. Giving you more momentum on tricky climbs and confidence to fly on fast singletrack descents. Additional clearance for up to 2.6-inch tires.
- Progressive Trail Design – Lightweight, strong and durable ALUXX SL aluminum frame features a longer reach and steeper seat tube angle for aggressive trail riding and improved climbing performance. The updated Maestro rear suspension features a 120mm trunnion mount shock paired with a 130mm fork on the front.
- Adjustable Geometry – A Flip-Chip allows you to change the head tube angle, seat tube angle and bottom bracket height to fine tune the ride. You can choose the low position for fast, aggressive terrain or the high position for a more XC-oriented riding position.
GIANT Technologies
- Advanced Forged Composite Technology – This high-pressure molding process produces components with complex shapes that are lighter and stronger than aluminum or standard composite parts.
- ALUXX SL Aluminum Techonolgy – The high performance material is predominantly 6011 aluminum alloy for an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio.
- Maestro Suspension Technology – Four strategically placed pivot points and two linkages combine to create a single floating pivot point for the most active, efficient and independent suspension system on the trail.
- OverDrive Oversized steerer tube – Built for steering precision, the extra-large headset bearings and tapered steerer tube deliver optimal front-end stiffness.
- Tubeless System – Fewer punctures. Better traction. Less rolling resistance. GIANT’sTubeless System makes mounting easier and provides extra riding pleasure.
- Flip Chip Maestro – The Flip Chip allows you to quickly adjust the geometry of your Maestro-equipped mountain bike. It allows you to change the head tube/seat tube angle and bottom bracket height via eccentric (offset, two-stage) hardware located on the top rocker.
