With the G.2 seatpost, by.schulz relies on its tried and tested parallelogram spring mechanism. The LT version (Long Travel) features around 50 mm of suspension travel and impresses with its sensitive response and high level of riding comfort.

The mechanism, which is based on a flat wire steel spring with internal elastomers, easily compensates for the vibrations of cobblestones, bumpy dirt tracks or rough gravel passages, so that owners of City, Trekking and E-Bikes can enjoy a back-friendly tour. In order to meet individual needs and offer every rider optimum support, the suspension element is easily interchangeable and available in various degrees of firmness to suit the rider’s weight.

In terms of durability, the G.2 suspension seatpost is characterized by high-quality workmanship, which is not least represented by the 3D-forged aluminium construction designed for maximum stability. Meanwhile, IGUS high-performance bearings ensure efficient operation of the suspension mechanism, which can also withstand heavy impacts thanks to the long travel.

The suspension itself is designed to be progressive, which means that the system reacts softly to light impacts and with increasing spring resistance to hard impacts. During compression, the LT version of the G.2 seatpost dips up to 33.5 mm backwards and 40.5 mm downwards. The combination of heavy-duty steel springs and technical elastomers prevents the suspension from bottoming out. In addition, the hemispherical elastomers also dampen the rearward rebound movement.

To ensure that the powerful look, characterized by organically flowing lines, is protected from dirt even in wind and weather, the parallelogram seatpost is supplied with a practical neoprene mudcover. No less practical is the clever seat clamping, which features a fine adjustment with robust ratcheting and a defined adjustment range with stop.
